Giovana was awarded the RSA Junior Investigator Award as well as a Larry Parsons Travel Award in Alcohol and Addiction Research for the work she will be presenting at the annual meeting of the Research Society on Alcoholism on June 24, 2019. Her poster is entitled "Escalated alcohol intake induced by chronic intermittent ethanol inhalation in male C57BL/6J mice is associated with anxiety-like and depressive-like behaviors during abstinence".
Agbonlahor has been accepted in the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory course on the Neuroscience of Addiction that will take place August 6-12, 2019. This course is taught by leaders in the field and acceptance is highly competitive. Ag was featured on CSHL blog as Visitor of the Week.
